A4074 Oxford to Reading

The A4074 between Oxford and Reading is one of the most dangerous roads in the whole of the UK for all motorists. 

Between January 1 2003 and October 2008, there were 258 accidents which caused injuries to those involved in them - that's one every eight and a half days. Of those, 16 resulted in fatalaties and a further 39 were classed as serious injury collisions. In a 2006 article, a national newspaper named it as the most dangerous road in Britain. Of course, not all of these involved bikers. But alarmingly, approximately one-third of the most serious collisions did.  Of the 16 fatal collisions, 5 involved motorbikes and of the 39 serious injury collisions, 13 involved bikers.
